About Ian Watson
Yet my heart beats loudest on the roads of Regent’s Park, where I’ve hosted weekly women’s-only training sessions for over a decade. These sessions aren’t just about watts or race tactics—they’re about building confidence, community, and a pressure-free space where riders discover their potential. From first-time cyclists to podium finishers, I’ve watched hundreds of women redefine their limits, whether they’re chasing pelotons or personal goals.
My mantra? “Don’t Get Fit, Get Fast.” It’s not just about physical training; it’s a mindset. Every ride is a classroom, every challenge a lesson. I’ve spent decades tearing down barriers, refusing to let anyone say “I can’t”—because I know what happens when they’re handed the tools to say “I will.”
Today, I’m still in the saddle, coaching Das-Hutchinson’s rising stars and guiding newcomers through those same Regent’s Park sessions that started it all. The road ahead? Let’s ride it together.

For over 40 years, I’ve lived and breathed cycling—first as a racing cyclist, now as a coach and architect of opportunities for riders at every level. My journey began with founding CC London, a grassroots club dedicated to fostering talent, but my proudest achievement came when I launched Team LDN, a women’s elite race team born from a simple belief: every rider deserves a chance to thrive. In just six years, that belief propelled Team LDN into the UCI Continental ranks as Das-Hutchinson, proving that passion and persistence outpace doubt every time.
